Audish will steal your kitties. Watch out.
Hello Audishers!
Besides holding 4.5 kitties of wonder at fringefestival.org, Audish has also managed to be one of the top 25 selling shows in the festival so far, bring in audience from all over the twin cities and make it home by 5:00 for dinner.
My favorite new review is from fringefamous:
http://fringefamous.podbean.com/2008/08/06/audish/
They just keep getting better and better...
If you saw the show and liked it, review it! www.fringefestival.org
If you haven't seen the show, put it on your schedule! We had a line out the door on tuesday and we only have TWO MORE SHOWS LEFT! AHHHH!
and if we are lucky....
ENCORE PERFORMANCE ON SUNDAY AT 8:30...
but lets not get ahead of ourselves here.
Go check out Musical The Musical. I saw it a few days ago and LOVED it! One of my favorites at the Fringe so far!
Look for us running around the rarig and other venues! We are the guys yelling "Audish! Audish! Free ticket if you do a trick!!"
So, find us. Do a trick. Get a free ticket. Spend the best hour of your life watching Audish.

A GREAT Start!
We opened friday and already people are celebrating the wonder that is AUDISH!
Reviews have been coming in and the word is spreading around. This is great considering these things:
A. We are a new theatre company...
B. We are all Teens...or are we?
Here are a few snippets from just a couple of my favorite Audish reviews...
1. "All Hail Youth at The Fringe" by Geoff Herbach
"...The script is full of big laughs and little right angles, and one seriously pretty little moment that is, somehow, unglued from time...No matter their age, these performers are incredibly savvy about comedy. They’ve studied it. And, although certainly not plot driven, their show is well-structured and it has a solid, if weird, rhythm to it. Maybe the story isn't life changing, but it's satisfyingly complicated all the same...The entire cast is really good—I could give a shout out to all of them—but Amy Stockhaus, as the annoyingly exuberant Tara, especially stands out. She has stellar comedic timing and a unerring sense for using her body as a comic tool. Megan Collins, as the inexplicably Smartwater-soaked Calliope, is very funny, too; I found myself actually guffawing during Collins' rendition of her audition song...So I'll see you at the Fringe. I’ll be over here, cheering and high-fiving people. You go see Audish."

2."Monty Python does A Chorus Line" by Dave Romm
"...The kids are talented actors and remarkable singers. The show is fun and strange, full of whimsey with a cynical but all-too hard-boiled view of show business.
3."Shocking Talented Bunch of Kids" by Jeffrey McCants
"...Each took their characters to an extreme and it made for a very quirky show. Anders Nerheim brought on laughs not with extreme physicality, but just his playful banter. Kiana Adams' voice cannot be denied. Neither can her acting. The entire cast was incredibly strong...I will say this isn't a show to miss. It's a great mix of teen comedy without being a children's play.
4. "If Eddie Izzard and Annie had a Baby..." by Devon Solorow
"...Audish is exactly what you want to see when you walk into a show. It's a incredibly-written script without a hint of saccharine sappiness, horrible predictability, or eye-rolling bad jokes...Keeping you laughing all the way through, Audish is truly a gem in this year's Fringe Festival and one of the best Fringe shows I have seen in years."
Well now I think it just might be time for you to buy your tickets...
If you still aren't sold...then...well...you can go see another show.
But I bet you will have a hard time finding one as fun as Audishy!!
WELLLLLL
"Meet The Macbeths" was AWESOME! Loved it! So well done. All around great! DO NOT MISS IT!
So yeah...Audish...

Audish is sneaking up...
In less than a week, Audish will be released into the wild! So soon! Scary! AHHH!
But can we do it? Can we accomplish all of our last minute tasks?
Yes! Yes...
So we have gotten mentions in two blogs! Which is very exciting for the little Bakery Boys!
1. Barron Dave Romm's Live Journal --
He just wrote that he would come see our show and that it looked "whimsical". If you don't believe me, you can go look for yourself: http://barondave.livejournal.com/
2. Matthew A. Everett on Twin Cities Daily Planet --
He wrote an entry about our showcase and his thoughts on the piece! For the most part, pretty good! Said it looked charming and pointed out the fact that Piper's radio matched her pajamas in the Showcase. I really did not notice that...I guess it is just a lucky coincidence...or is it?????!?!?
He also expresses his stumbling block: seeing art about art.
This surprisingly, is also a stumbling block for me. I usually do not enjoy art about art. But Audish is not about art or theatre really. With the exception of maybe 4 or 5 theatrey-ish jokes, Audish is mostly about the girls. The audition is merely a situation that they are all in.
So, not to fear Mr. Everett, you can put Audish on your short list of "Must See Shows" AND get a goodnight's sleep! ::crosses fingers::

THANK YOU BLOGGERS. YOU ARE LOVED!
Our tech rehearsal is this monday! We have invited about ten people to come watch and give notes afterwards!
"So what are you singing?"
"What?"
"Like for the Audish."
"Audish?"
"Yeah."
"What's an Audish?"
"Serious?"
"No."
"What?"
"Yes...I mean yes."
"Yes what?"
"Yes.........yes..................."
AND AFTER YOU SEE AUDISH, GO SEE...
"Secrets of the Little Yellow Diary" with Patty Nieman
-They had a great Fringe For All Performance (probably the best in my opinion) and it looked like a lot of fun. And it's directed by the amazing Rob Goudy. It's gotta be good!

Our First Post-dish!
Hello Fringey Readers!
Blogging is cool. So the Bakery Theatre Company (also known as the Bakery Boys) decided to join in the fun!
Well the festival is coming up very soon! We are very excited about our show! We just finished our first run through yesterday and everything looks good.
So now we will move forward with finding props, making t-shirts and getting rid of 1,000 postcards!
Monday was the highly anticipated "Fringe For All Showcase" and it went very well! Although it was a bit scary having the programs act not only as an "Order of Events" but as a SCORECARD!
AHHHHH!
ahem.
Either way, the Fringe For All went swimmingly!
Every post, The Bakery Boys will talk about another Fringe Show they are interested in! Today is...
ORANGE by Questionable Company Theatre
-We loved the postcard and we loved the man who gave us the postcard. Oh and we liked the description! It looks like a lot of fun! Go check um out:
http://questionablecompany.blogspot.com/
That's all for now!
